Our initial plans to go Yosemite fell through because of the fire so we decided to spend our short break in Monterey. We took Miette on the usually breathtaking 17 Mile Drive and stayed at The Monterey Plaza Hotel. Although the weather was overcast and a bit on the cooler side, we made the best of our stay and had a terrific time.

Isn't it supposed to be Summer over there? You guys sure look rugged up. That last photo (sleeping) is a beauty.
